return to table (yourself)

27-29 November, Lake Constance

SLOW FOOD & WINE

Food is where this retreat begins and ends. At Haus am See, meals are cooked close to the season and the region - honest, generous, rooted in what the Bodensee gives in late autumn. Nonnenhorn is a small wine village, so there's good local wine on the table too, poured slowly, over long conversations.

This is the return to table at the heart of it all: the table as the place we keep coming back to. Where the day slows, hands rest, and a shared meal becomes a ritual rather than something we rush through.

CLAY EXPERIENCE

Clay session will be guided by Gizem from Gigi Room Ceramics, inviting you into a slow, tactile exploration of working with clay. You’ll learn foundational hand-building techniques while leaving plenty of space for intuition, play, and personal expression.

No prior experience is needed, this is not about perfection, but about the joy of making with your hands. Expect a calming, grounding rhythm, supportive guidance throughout, and time to create pieces that feel meaningful to you, whether simple, sculptural, or beautifully imperfect.

STAY

We'll gather at Haus am See, right on the water in Nonnenhorn, on the Bavarian side of the Bodensee - a relaxed lakeside house with a kitchen at its heart and rooms that look out to the lake.

In late November the water is at its quietest: soft light, cold mornings, early candlelight. With a small number of cozy rooms - some shared, some private - this retreat offers an intimate, grounding home for rest, reconnection, and creative flow.

MEET THE HOST

Gizem Sirmali Gigi Room Ceramics

Gizem is a ceramic artist, storyteller, and the creative behind Gigi Room Ceramics. She blends slow craft, soulful gatherings, and creative expression into experiences that nourish both hands and hearts. Between shaping clay and hosting her clay-and-everything pop-ups, the vision for this retreat was born. Her work is about more than ceramics, it’s about connection, gentle rituals, and spaces where people can come back to themselves.

Evenings are held by simple rituals: a long dinner with natural wine to open the weekend, a bonfire that asks for nothing but your presence, a fondue night where everything is shared from the center.

Days leave room to experience things differently. A wine tasting paired with clay, where taste turns into form. A reflection session to write, draw, or simply notice what's present. A lake nearby to walk along if you feel like moving, or to sit beside if you don't.

Between it all, there's rest - a spa with sauna, steam, and quiet corners over the water, where the body finally settles.

Return to Table is a slow weekend of shared presence, where experience, rest, food, and conversation come together to bring us back to what feels real. There are weekends that don’t ask you to become anything new. They simply give you space to come back to yourself. Return to Table is one of those weekends.

At the heart of the experience is the table. A place we return to throughout the weekend, where food is served slowly, wine is shared naturally, and conversation is allowed to unfold without direction. Over time, it becomes less of a setting and more of a feeling - something familiar you keep coming back to.

Return to Table is not about transformation in a defined sense. It is about small shifts that happen when life becomes simple enough to feel again. The way we eat. The way we listen. The way we share space with others. The way we return to ourselves without effort. You leave with the same life, but with a different sense of rhythm within it.
